KCGH collaborates closely with diverse (inter)national partner organisations.
Binnen het SDG Nederland-netwerk vervult het Kenniscentrum Global Health (KCGH), samen met Alles is Gezondheid, de rol van alliantie coördinator voor SDG 3 (Goede gezondheid en welzijn). Onder leiding van Seriana van den Berg brengen we overheden, kennisinstellingen, ziekenhuizen, maatschappelijke organisaties en bedrijven bij elkaar. We stimuleren samenwerking en kennisdeling om gezondheidssystemen te versterken en gezondheidsgelijkheid te bevorderen, zowel in Nederland als wereldwijd. Gezondheid raakt bijna alle andere Duurzame Ontwikkelingsdoelen. Armoedebestrijding (SDG 1) is essentieel voor toegang tot zorg en gezonde leefomstandigheden, schoon water en sanitaire voorzieningen (SDG 6) helpen infectieziekten te voorkomen, en klimaatactie (SDG 13) gaat direct over hittegolven, luchtvervuiling en veranderende ziektetrends. In ons coördinatorschap zoeken wij actief de verbinding met deze doelen. Zo ontwikkelen en verspreiden we samen met partners e-learningmodules over duurzame laboratoria, Planetary Health en Health Equity, ondersteunen we initiatieven voor rechtvaardige voedselsystemen (SDG 2) en dragen we bij aan kwaliteitsonderwijs (SDG 4) door gratis online leeromgevingen toegankelijk te maken voor professionals en studenten. Onze inzet sluit aan op de Nationale SDG-rapportage 2025, waarin vooruitgang blijkt op armoedebestrijding (SDG 1) en arbeidsparticipatie (SDG 8), maar uitdagingen blijven bij waterkwaliteit (SDG 6), klimaatactie (SDG 13) en gezondheid in goede jaren (SDG 3). Ongelijkheid in welvaart (SDG 10) raakt vooral jongeren en migranten en beïnvloedt de toegang tot zorg. Met ons coördinatorschap bevorderen wij een integrale beleidsaanpak waarin gezondheidskwesties en andere SDG’s onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden zijn. ✉️ Seriana van den Berg: seriana.vdberg@kcgh.nl

Cooperation with SANO goes back to 1969, the year the foundation was established. SANO grew out of a collaboration between the NSGH and the Royal Dutch Society for the Advancement of Medicine (KNMG). The aim of the Foundation is to financially support health workers who contribute to healthcare in low- and middle-income countries.

Together with other partners, KCGH, NSGH and OIGT are active in the Global Health Hub Netherlands. In this coalition, we share expertise within various Communities of Practice on topics such as health policy, financing and zoonoses. This joint approach strengthens the bridge between research, policy and practice.

Het Kenniscentrum Global Health (KCGH) is lid van het Dutch Global Health Knowledge Institute Network (DGHKI Network). Dit netwerk bestaat uit kennisinstellingen die actief zijn op het gebied van mondiale gezondheid en brengt organisaties uit Nederland, maar ook uit Curaçao en Aruba, samen. Binnen het netwerk delen leden kennis en expertise, werken zij samen aan onderzoek en initiatieven, en dragen zij bij aan het versterken van samenwerking en innovatie op het gebied van global health.

NSGH is a member of FESTMIH (Federation of European Societies for Tropical Medicine and International Health), and both OIGT and KCGH regularly participate in FESTMIH projects and conferences. Through this network, we exchange European research results, coordinate training programmes and promote international best practices.

We collaborate with universities, research institutes and healthcare institutions in the Netherlands, and globally through our committees and working groups. We are also actively involved in research and advocacy initiatives of partner organisations, including Wemos and the SDG3 Alliance.
